Artificial Intelligence and Automation: How These 3 AI Tools Can Elevate Your Marketing Automation

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution is here and many are wondering in the marketing world what this means for their jobs and businesses. I’m sure you have heard the buzz around Chat GPT and other AI tools in the news and online lately. But instead of bashing it or running away from it we are going to show you just what it is and how it can help automate your marketing. Read on.

Overview

AI software like ChatGPT and Notion AI are tools that use machine learning and natural language processing to automate certain marketing and customer service tasks. By leveraging AI algorithms, these tools can generate content, respond to customer inquiries, and even create custom images like in the case of Canva AI. This allows marketers to save time and effort while still providing a quality customer service experience. Additionally, AI tools can provide insights into customer behavior and preferences, which can help marketers make better decisions. (Not bad…this of course was written by Notion AI from just me asking it a prompting question of What is AI Software like ChatGPT and Notion AI).

So now that we know what AI tools are in general and why you should be interested in getting to know more, let’s take a look at what each can do.

The three tools we will be looking at are ChatGPT, Notion AI and Canva AI. I will be using each tool to generate content for this.

ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI. It is a type of AI-powered language processing technology designed to understand and generate human-like text. ChatGPT is trained on a large corpus of text data from the internet, allowing it to generate a wide range of responses to a given prompt or question.

Real Life Workflow
I asked ChatGPT the following question: Give me 5 tips for following up with my leads? Then I let it go to work. The first output gave me pretty good generalized tips for following up with leads.

I ran this same question in Notion AI and got a more targeted response based on what I was already writing about on the page. With this in mind I went back to ChatGPT and specified – Give me 5 tips for following up with my leads using ChatGPT, Notion AI and Canva Magic Write? This time I was given a more targeted response closely resembling the output I got in Notion AI.

Naturally ChatGPT gave itself more shoutouts. I believe if I hadn’t started a new chat and had actually asked the question in the same chat when I was asking about titles for this very article ChatGPT would have used the previous question to know that I wanted tips specific to using these 3 software.

At the time of this writing ChatGPT is free, but has just introduced a paid tier that would give you access even in peak times and faster response. Also be on the lookout for ChatGPT 4 which has just been announced as coming soon.

Notion AI is an AI-powered tool that helps marketers create content quickly and efficiently. It uses natural language processing to generate content that is tailored to a given prompt or question. It is also able to generate custom images, enabling marketers to create content that stands out and is easily shareable.

Real Life Workflow
I asked Notion the following question: Give me 5 Tips for following up with my leads? Then I let it go to work. Instantly it knew that I wanted these tips to be based off of the software I was reviewing which is what I’m writing about now. This was different from what I got from ChatGPT and Magic Write which gave me more generalized tips from the question I asked.

Output from Notion AI

That’s what I like about Notion AI. It will take into account what you already have on the page and pull from it unless you highlight something specific.

At the time of this writing, Notion AI is free while in Alpha, but they say there will probably be a cost in the future. You have to join the waitlist in order to get access. It is on a first come first serve basis. Currently the waitlist is very very long.

Magic Write is a powerful online writing tool designed to help you create content that stands out from the rest. It provides a range of features that allow you to create engaging and well-written content quickly and easily, such as: auto-suggestions, sentence structure optimization, grammar and style checks, and more.

Real Life Workflow
I asked Magic Write the following question: Give me 5 tips for following up with my leads? Then I let it go to work. Just like with ChatGPT it gave me generalized tips for following up with my leads.

Output from Canva AI

So I decided to ask it more specifically how to follow up with my leads with AI software just like I did with ChatGPT to see if I would get a more targeted list. This is what I got:

As you can see it gave me more targeted tips just like ChatGPT and Notion AI. It was almost like a mix of the two with just a few words in different spots.

At the time of this writing you can now access Magic Write not only in Canva Docs, but in all of their product types (like social media, presentations, etc.). Anyone who has a Canva account can use Magic Write. Just recently Canva has introduced even more exciting AI features that can be used in conjunction with Magic Write. They include: Magic Eraser, Magic Edit, and Magic Design. Based on if you are on a free plan or paid plan you will be restricted to how many queries you can make. So for free users it’s 25 per month and anyone on the Pro, Team or NFP plan gets 75 queries a month.

Conclusion

These tools are machines of course and only as smart as the input you put in. Most of the information needs to be something that can be pulled from 2021 or earlier in the case of ChatGPT.

When you are using these tools you need to be mindful that you don’t just copy and paste everything verbatim. After all it still needs to be in your voice and style and that is what your audience wants from you. Always go back and inject your flavor into it.

All 3 of these tools can be utilized together to create some unique content fast.

The AI revolution is here and it’s exciting to see what is available now and the possibilities of what is coming. These tools fall in line with my philosophy of hiring technology to help you serve better. Rather than throwing rocks and a skeptical eye we should embrace these tools that I think will help us think deeper, write better and produce content faster.
